Since our journey to conceive is only one facet of my life I thought I would make a separate page where those who are interested could check in and see where we are in the process.
I didn't want it to become the main focus of my blog because for the moment doing so depresses me.
The lingo of infertility can all be quite confusing at times so that you don't feel lost when reading my posts or any of the details please see here for explanations on common abbreviations used.
Goals for 2012: Happy Healthy take home baby(ies)!!
Aug 2004 - premature labor at 28wks (angel in heaven Christine)
Aug 2009 - stopped bc pills and switched to condoms, bc of 2-3 week AF's that developed
Nov 2010 - casually started trying
Mar 2011 - started charting realized I'm not ovulating each cycle
Apr 2011 - visit to Ob/Gyn and referred to RE
6/29/2011 - RE visit, scheduled for CD3 testing and HSG, in-office u/s revealed no image of tubes
7/18/2011 - HSG: normal tubes, polyps occluding right tube, as well as endometrial polyps lining uterus
7/26/2011 - labs all came back normal except for inversion of FSH/LH ratio and high AMH
8/15/2011 - Laparoscopy, Hysteroscopy with Polypectomy, Bilateral Chromotubation
8/24/2011 - Follow up from surgery, presented with financial packages for IVF and IUI with stims
Sep 2011 - decided to look into alternatives
Oct 2011 - started acupuncture (1x/week for at least 4 months). Given herbal supplements.
Nov 2011 - still doing acupuncture 1x/week, still no change in cycle, AF 4dys late
Dec 2011 - last month of acupuncture sessions, AF 10dys late (WTF?!?!?)
Jan 2012 - decide to switch RE's to one with better success rates. Ovulated naturally :-) (Yaay!)
1/24/2012 - Appt w/new clinic (plan A)
1/24/2012 - started bcp's, u/s revealed my ovaries have shrunk to half since u/s in June 2011
1/26/2012 - picked up meds for 1st cycle (agonist protocol)
2/12/2012 - start Lurpon
2/23/2012 - monitoring appt u/s and bw
2/24/2012 - start stims (Gonal F 225u)
2/27/2012 - bw
