Mini Reverb #12 Writing

Blogging has become a very big part of my life.
It has taken the front seat to Facebook and twitter.
In fact for a period this year I totally deactivated my facebook.
I had lost all interest in it.
I'm not kidding I was so jaded and bored of
all the status updates my mind would literally wander to.....

Anywho...back to the jist of this post.
I know we live in a society where everyone now officially wants
to spread to the world what their doing.....ALL THE TIME.

For me blogging is that such thing.
Its cathartic, it helps me chronicle my life
and share and interact with like minded individuals.
Through my writing, I sometimes hope to inspire, I sometimes hope to educate,
but mostly its just for me to share.
Share my feelings, my life, my views.

If we were to go based on statistics alone my
most viewed piece since the inception of my blog has been this.
Garnering over 10,000 views!
But if someone were to ask me what I wrote this year that I was most proud of
it actually wouldn't be the piece that won the popular vote.

The piece I am most proud of this year would be this very
series.....Mini Reverb!
Through your participation and my own I have gotten so
many responses and actually provoked thought in my readers.
I've gotten those taking part to really stop
and take a look at this past year.

For me all of you taking part in this reflection of 2011
has been my greatest writing piece of 2011.

What writing piece are you most proud of this year?
How is it different from other pieces?
Why does it stand out as your best piece?

I haven't written as much this year as last. If I had to pick one piece I most enjoyed it would be my list of 22 things I've never doen and 22 things I have done. It was not only fun to write, but quite enlightened to see how far I've come.

it is amazing to me just how much blogging has become a big part of my life. i enjoy it so much but i have no idea what piece i am most proud of this year. but maybe anything that had to be about my family is probably the things i am most proud of as they are the ones i love the most.

I honestly couldn't pick a favorite among your posts. I appreciated and enjoyed them all!!! :-) I agree with your thoughts about your "Mini Reverb" (which I'm thoroughly enjoying, btw). It got me to seriously think about things I usually wouldn't even consider when reflecting on the past year. Usually my reflections are strictly deeply emotional and "heavy." Your reverb encouraged me to view things in a "lighter" manner, thereby allowing me to experience a healthier, happier and more balanced self-reflection. I was encouraged to show myself more compassion by reflecting on some of the more positive things I may have done and/or accomplished instead of just picking myself apart, so thank you, Jan, for showing me a healthier perspective as regards reflection and re-evaluation. :-)

In terms of blogging, the questions for this reverb are inapplicable to me. However, I have seriously considered starting a blog. In fact, I find it occupying my distracted thoughts a bit too much lately. My main problem is trust and opening up. As much as I would like to share, horribly negative past experiences of sharing with people I thought were friends and being unfairly and harshly judged, criticized, lambasted and just plain ole betrayed have left me gun-shy. Blogging also requires a great level of commitment and dedication. I'm not up for that just yet. Lately, I've been feeling overwhelmed from just trying to maintain a fair amount of communication with several of my FB connections. Love keeping in touch and sharing positive vibes, but it can be draining too. I'll just continue to pace myself ... Then, of course, a fair number of my FB connections also have blogs that I enjoy reading and lending my support to, in addition to other peoples' blogs I find interesting and informative. Yeah, the love connection can be a bit overwhelming at times. Lol!

I have been enjoying your mini reverbs too..very though provoking. the writing i am most proud of would have to be the ones where i have learned something about marriage and my relationship with my husband because it continues to strengthen our marriage bond and unity! and i am also loving the living our vows series..it's been so much fun already and i can't wait for next year and all that i will be learning from my fellow bloggers and sharing with my readers!
