For New Years Eve 2011 I was at home.
Hubs and I threw a small party to celebrate
and invited some of our closest friends.
There is an oldwives tale where I am from
that says that anyone that you are with one NYE
will be in your life for that year.
I really can't tell you if that's true or not
since the friends that I had over have been friends of mine
for some 15+ years.
I doubt that whether I see them on NYE makes a difference
as to whether we'll be in each others lives,
we're best buds and probably will be for many years to come.
They've been New Years that I've rung in with other friends
and they're no where around today.
This year we'll be in Italy ringing in the New Year
with a different group of friends and I'm looking forward to that.

I know its a few days away, but I still have no plans yet for NYE. We'll see what happens as time goes on, but maybe D and I will just spend time with my family (or his) and call it a night at 12:30. LOL. Enjoy the New Years in Italy!
I agree with you on the the tale...I love the festivities that come with NYE...I celebrated NYE with family in Italy one year and that was a blast:-) the mister and I will celebrating at church this year same place we did in 2011 when we were enagaged...this year will be one to remember because it will our first as man and wife:-)
I'll be in FL again this year for xmas and new years eve/day. I'm excited for our party, all the food, the laughs, the dancing, the family everywhere I turn and all the LOVE that'll fill the houses up.
I absolutely adore your blog, Nini. It's so encouraging for a young woman like me to know that there's so much life to be enjoyed, and I know your journey has been difficult at times, but you seem to always manage to keep it in perspective. This New Year I'll be in Oklahoma City to spend it with my family there. I'll have Christmas Eve, Christmas, and my 21st birthday in NY with my boyfriend, and then it''s off to OKC to be with family! Girl, you need to HURRY and post those Italy pics! I'M WAITING!!! <3 <3
i agree with you about that tale ... but i feel that way about most tales.
this year i am bringing it in with hubs and some friends. we are doing a fancy dinner, getting all dolled up, and then our friends a throwing a house party. so excited for this new years.
i know you are going to have the best time ... i am dying to see your Italy pictures already :)
